We are working in partnership with TRESOC to offer Totnes or South Hams commercial property owners with suitable solar potential a Community-financed commercial solar PV system.
This will mean significantly lower electricity bills for you, at very little or no cost, and depending on the size of your roof (or ground). Here's how it would work:
- You receive a free site survey.
- If your roof meets our Tier 1 criteria, you receive a very low cost solar PV installation, giving you significantly lower electricity bills and free maintenance for 20 years.
- If your roof meets our Tier 2 or 3 criteria, you receive solar PV installation for a slightly larger contribution to the required surveys and the set-up cost of the contract, still giving you significantly lower electricity bills and free maintenance for 20 years. Looking at your contribution it will most likely pay-back in about 2 or 3 years only.
- Totnes-based Yokk Solar Ltd. would install the solar panels tailored to your property.
- You receive free electricity generated by the solar PV, saving you a considerable amount off your electricity bills every year.
- TRESOC, on behalf of its members, would purchase and own the PV system for 20 years and in return would receive the Feed-in-Tariff payments generated from the PV installation.
- TRESOC members would benefit through a return on their investment.
On top of the savings and your reduced carbon footprint: The financing and the income generated from the solar PV FIT comes from South Hams and remains in the South Hams community.
